Project: Waimauku School Field
This portfolio feature showcases our recent work at Waimauku School, where Earthbuilt Solutions was tasked with levelling and hydro-seeding a large 1,100m² field area. The project involved precision earthworks to create a smooth, even surface suitable for school activities and sports. Once levelled, we applied a high-quality hydro-seed blend to ensure fast, healthy grass growth and long-term durability. The result is a revitalised field that’s safe, functional, and visually impressive—delivered on time and with the quality Earthbuilt is known for.
Project: Retaining Wall, Fence & Driveway Extension
This project is a great example of Earthbuilt Solutions’ ability to deliver practical, high-quality results that enhance both functionality and aesthetics. The job began with the construction of a durable timber retaining wall, designed to manage the natural slope of the property and provide long-term structural stability. Using treated H5 posts and H4 boards, we ensured strength and longevity, while maintaining a clean, professional finish.
To complement the new landscape and improve privacy, we installed a rough-sawn timber fence along the top of the retaining wall. The fence not only adds security but also contributes to the overall visual appeal of the property.
In addition to the retaining and fencing work, we carried out a small driveway extension, carefully excavating and preparing the site to seamlessly tie into the existing concrete. This provided valuable extra space for parking and easier vehicle access.
From start to finish, this project reflects our attention to detail, skilled workmanship, and commitment to delivering well-rounded solutions that meet each client’s needs.
Project: Rustic Stairs, Retaining & Entrance Upgrade – Muriwai
This unique project in Muriwai showcases Earthbuilt Solutions’ ability to blend rustic charm with practical design. Tasked with transforming a sloped and underutilised area, we crafted a stunning set of stairs using repurposed railway sleepers and 100-year-old reclaimed bricks. The result is a timeless, character-filled pathway that complements the natural surroundings while offering safe and sturdy access.
To support the terrain, we built a robust retaining wall using H5 round posts and H4 horizontal boards—ensuring durability while maintaining a natural, rural aesthetic that suited the property’s setting.
Along the perimeter, we installed 35 metres of sleek aluminium fencing, offering security without compromising the view. Cleverly integrated into the fencing layout is a hidden gas bottle storage area, providing a practical solution that keeps utilities out of sight.
To complete the transformation, we supplied and installed brand-new entrance gates, creating a welcoming and secure entryway for the on-site Airbnb. This project is a perfect example of our ability to combine rustic materials with modern finishes, delivering a functional and visually cohesive outdoor space.
